Truly, TOM FORD is my Daddy
Matter of fact is, Tom Ford is officially my 'Daddy'.
Yes, just the way it sounds, He is my Daddy - the man that provides my need even at this young fashion age of mine. I'm proud to be his daughter and I'm sure he is too.
Almost unlike him but very close home to him... It's known far and near that Tom Ford is all about surprises, that which makes you go : "uhhhh duhh, what's this?" After which you go: "wow, it's amazingly sexy though, in a cool way."
Tom Ford's collection at the London Fashion Week Fall Ready-to-Wear show is one that makes a man wonder how a woman can turn out looking so freaking sexy just in anything like that. No debate, Tom Ford is the master of fierce sexiness; the mixture of sheer with print and floral in this collection is just so amazing. Fashion weeks can sometimes be boring especially when several designers repeat trends with no signature mark.

Plain Innocence at Proenza Schouler NYFW Fall '13
Proensa Schouler’s show at the NYFW is fantastic! In some
way off their usual style, maybe a little bit but there’s a great feel of
femininity in this collection – it’s of a more mature woman who is sexy in her
own terms, loves what she loves even with clothes, wears anything she wants to wear
her own way and oozes innocence. Not particularly innocence of a child but of a
growing personality that has pretty much seen stuff and now knows how to handle
her own matters her own way even when it comes to style…she’s sexy, she’s
feminine, she’s ‘irregular’ in her style, she’s classy, she’s sophisticated and
she definitely rules her world. The simplicity of this collection is just so chic and mature.

Like an Invasion! ... Alexander Wang NYFW Fall 13
Oh
Alex!...that was my first post title when I finally found time to look
through runway pictures of some shows from the on going New York Fashion
Week. Not that I am surprised...well, not really considering his
recent campaign that features most of the trends spotted here. There's
no arguing anything, Alexander Wang is brilliant and he'll do a
fantastic job at Balenciaga! Yes, I'm very sure of that (no fingers
crossed, it's the fact!)
Known for his *mischievous* designs and trends, Alexander
Wang is one of the very distinct young designers of now that are setting
trend...personally, I think he's taking the lead. He's a bit of
everything - simple, chic, boyish, edgy, functional, rough, masculine
meets femininity and more. Again, I say he's brilliant!

Jason's Wonder
My boy never fails me, he's always on point! Five star for you mate..lol. Well, I call him - Jason Wu my boy because hey, it's been a long time coming for both of us (laughs out loud) how many years has it been now since Fashion Fund where he left the judges (Anna Wintour, Mark Holgate, Diane von Furstenburg) stunned. Perhaps two or three years but oh dear this young talented designer has not relented an inch. He's super cute - yes cute! He creates amazing designs for every, *repeat* every woman that is chic, classy yet elegant. I love Jason Wu.
His success stories this year has not been minimal as well, Jason Wu has grown from styling top celebrities from all around the world, partnering with several fashion and non-fashion related brands to dressing the First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS)... Scream!
Deducing EDUN
I do not exactly know how to qualify EDUN's collection at the New York Fashion Week. Just like the designer Sharon Wauchob said too. From punk, playful, boyish, to edgy and the likes, this collection doesn't quite click anything in my head. More like it's almost plain but in a beautiful way for that woman or man that likes to jumble up different pieces. Not particularly confusing but somehow unassuming - but still a lively collection.

Oh So Gothic! FAB Magazine's 'Twilight Issue' is Out in Print & Digital!
FAB Magazine is out with a much ‘darker’ issue, The Twilight Issue, which is out on Apple, Android and web platforms from today and hits newsstands, in its print form, on 8 February 2013.
Inspired by the end of a season and the beginning of a new one, Twilight Issue celebrates endings as signs of new beginnings. The Twilight Issue sees FAB Magazine go back to fashion covers with two exciting avant-garde shoots while there is plenty more fashion inside with a whopping 45 pages of editorials and 24 pages of trends from African and international runways.
More after the cut...

Looking Back, Going Forward: Jewel by Lisa S/S '13
It's like a forgotten crush - if there's anything like that - but sure it's stronger than mere thoughts.
Somehow, it feels I missed out on a part of my life; it happened during the MTN LFDW 2012
precisely the day Jewel by Lisa showcased. I must have been teleported to
another world or sort because sincerely I didn't understand how I could've
missed out an essential detail of an entire week, an essential detail as the magnificent
collection and show of fashion label Jewel by Lisa.
The Spring/Summer collection is beyond remarkable; it encapsulates
African beauty to perfection.

Celestial Bodies in Elie Saab S/S 13
Whenever I see any Elie Saab design I turn blue, like totally blue. From the Spring Summer 2013 collection,
Elie Saab presents sequence, shimmers, sparkles and lots lots of sheer and lace!
Oh, how glam they look...amazing!
The way each design sits on the models is simply celestial, from the chignon hairstyle, the smooth nude makeup to the 'almost lost' shoes and the well-placed sheer effects just seals the deal for stunning for me.
