Love, LANVIN

Let's
Come on Let's,
Let's go to Lanvin..

Let's wear beautiful, body-fitting, soft-tone, wrap clothes..
Let's make lovely skirts we can wrap around the waist from fabrics..
Let's wear pastel bodice with luxury hand gloves...
Let's wear top s made with multiple ruffles of fine fabrics...
Let's wear sweet, romantic makeup that'll compel attention...
Let's get appropriate shoes - heels and brogues that compliment every look...
How about fur jackets, coats that speak volumes?
Or romantic lace that accentuate the body?
No, fine linen will do - soft and smooth is good for the body...
Let's take a trip back to the days when we wore well-pleated, A-line skirts ...
And fine corset that cop the breasts appropriately..
Let's sit back to see which one's...

No,let's not.
Let's have them all
Let's wear them all
Let's own,
Let's, LANVIN

Remembering Stella - Roland Mouret, PFW '13

It's one thing this collection somehow reminds me of Stella McCartney S/S 12/13 collection, there's also a bit of misunderstanding in it. It feels beautiful but in a very weird, awkward way...almost confusing to me. The exaggerated contours, the mix-match patterns that don't quite fit, the fabrication and more.

What's the message line here? Cool, classy, edgy, punk, daring or sophistication?
Perhaps a bit of all ...but nah, it's not working quite.

A Walking Picture Frame: Christian Dior at PFW

Fun facts here include;
Too big is the new cool…
Why put up pictures on the wall when they can just be framed on your outfit?
White and black is the new black and it’s super cool...
Minimalism never left, it only took a trip to Dior…
There’s nothing like proportion anymore, the bigger the better…

To say I cherish all these pieces would be repetition.

Celestial Bodies in Elie Saab S/S 13

Whenever I see any Elie Saab design I turn blue, like totally blue. From the Spring Summer 2013 collection,
Elie Saab presents sequence, shimmers, sparkles and lots lots of sheer and lace!
Oh, how glam they look...amazing!
The way each design sits on the models is simply celestial, from the chignon hairstyle, the smooth nude makeup to the 'almost lost' shoes and  the well-placed sheer effects just seals the deal for stunning for me.

The Path to Paradise

Raf Simons leads me to the path of paradise ... the setting is almost what I'd expect
but with an extra effort, I love it! There's a feeling of calmness
in the scenery here yet with the right touch of glamour.

Designer Spotlight : Fatima Lopes

I love act of discovery – designs, people and places just because. Recently while surfing the internet – as usual – I discovered an incredibly creative brand – Fatma Lopes. I rarely, get a feeling of instant attraction to fashion designs , it grows on me after several collection previews, runway shows and street credibility/style of the brand. But on this beautiful day I discovered yet another charming designer who impressed me at first sight. Fatima Lopez’s designs are simply remarkable! Fátima Lopes, ComIH is a Portuguese fashion designer who showed an interest in fashion at a young age and decided during her adolescence to design her own clothes. Fatima Lopez’s collections are diversified into bags and shoes for both men and women.
In December 1998, she started the management of the model agency "FACE MODELS" in Lisbon. In the year 2000 she caused a media sensation by appearing on a catwalk herself in Paris wearing the world's most expensive bikini, made out of gold and diamonds, with an estimated value of one million dollars. In 2003 she opened her first brand store in the United States, located in Melrose Avenue in the city of Los Angeles.
She worked on the design of the official suit of the 2006 Portuguese football World Cup team. More on Fatima Lopez soon!

Enchanted!

Omg! I love Elie Saab designs!

They're gorgeous...several beautiful words are used to define Elie Saab designs - sexy, glamour, pretty, captivating, romantic etc.

Words cannot explain what I would do to get a pair of Elie Saab gown...

This is an Elie Saab design from Paris Fashion Week 2011...gosh I love it!
