Va-Va-Voom at Versace!

I usually don't go out of my way to post about menswear, though I adore few male brands and designers(Peter Dundas, Tom Ford *obsessed*) but mehn! this is unavoidable...Seriously! It's simply fabulous. These boys are just something else...maybe Call Boys, c'mmon!

My question; how did ladies sit through this show? I mean, it's one thing the clothes are super amazing but the models...(emphasis) the models are just perfect for the brand - Versace.
Speak of sexy, fierce, rouge, rough, clean, rugged, charming, well-trimmed men in fantastic
designs...oh well.

One word, Tot-Amazing!

Creative Instinct: Best of F/W 2013 Campaigns - Miu Miu, Kenzo, Max Mara, Givenchy and More!

This is beyond words; love is just too plain simple to explain how I feel about these campaigns. Each campaign here shares clear details about the season, the trend being focused on by each designer and the creative details inculcated by the directors… frankly, the level of creativity in such cases as this impresses me a lot. I shiver, and begin to wonder how they sit, ponder and come to conclusion about the details, directions and execution of these campaigns. Kudos to all involved!
As mentioned in my several tweets about these campaigns, I don’t have a favourite but of all I’ve seen the past two to three weeks, these few have taken a huge space in my heart and I’ll love them for a long while.

Pictures of my top picks this season include;

DONNA KARAN

Fetish Feelings: Kate Moss, Joan Smalls x Versace Spring Campaign

                This is not really what I'd readily go with but I think it's brilliant, it's very Versace.

Peju Famojure Styles the Best of Fall Collections for L’Officiel Paris August 2012

Talented, international Nigerian stylist Peju Famojure styled this fashion editorial which is one of my favorite at the moment. In this feature, models Milana Keller, Svetlana Kudina, and Veneda are the picture of autumn elegance in selects from the collections of Bottega Veneta, Chanel, Jil Sander, Versace, Givenchy, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton and Prada. Lensed by Jonathan Segade and styled by Peju Famojure for L'Officiel Paris, this editorial features luxurious patterns, textures and rich dark hues from the fall collections.

YSL Cigarettes ... Seriously?

YSL Cigarettes? Yes YSL has cigarettes now and yes for sale.

Apparently, many fashion houses license their names for cigarettes, much like they might for shoes, handbags, or the aforementioned perfume. Givenchy, Versace, Pierre Cardin, Christian Lacroix and Cartier have also been in the tobacco game at one point or another, via lending their brand caché and logo for the cause (for cash, of course), not by, you know, starting a tobacco farm or something.

The packaging is beautiful and classy though so I just have to give it to YSL, well done. As Keiri Perri of stylecaster.com puts it, "That black and gold, it's like the Opium bottle in cancer-causing form". I totally agree.

These "luxe" versions of cigarettes are mainly available in Asia and Russia and as expected, they're marketed primarily at women.
