Journey Through The September Issue, Part 1
I can't quite explain the top high level if adrenalin that flowed through me before I got a copy of my Vogue September issue. First I was super excited of being one of the lucky ones that'll read this special edition but then came the feeling that I might not be lucky after all as the store had just 2 copies left. I couldn't hold the terror within me, the thought of not getting a copy kept me awake all night and in the morning of the next day my first call was to my friend Mareejay with whom I had discussed how she should endeavor to get to the store as early as possible to get the last two copies..,I was excited when she informed me se was already on her way to the store by 9:30am. Seriously nothing else could get Mareejay or anyone to the bookstore in Lekki on a Tuesday morning but Vogue.
Her call came in while I was at the office around 10:15 while I was prepping for a photo shoot for the next edition, she got the last two copies!!!
Yes the September issue is the biggest of the year and everyone should be a part of it. So it didn't surprise me when I encountered all major brands' ad campaigns on pages- brands who I think rarely run ads in print are all in this issue ; Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, DVF, DKNY,LongChamp, tibi, Vionnet Paristo the regulars- Chanel, Louis Vuityon, Valentino, Vera Wang, Ralph Lauren, etc taking numerous spreads....that's what I call being a part of the masterpiece, no brand should miss out on such.
It would be too plain to say Anna Wintour's Editor's Letter is great, it's a tribute to all the great minds who contribute to every edition through the years, from the fashion editors, beauty editors, features writer and editors, makeup artists, hair stylists and models, Anna
praised them all and I liked that.

Again, I couldn't believe my reaction when I got my copy I was literally shivering...sincerely I was. I did a quick flip through and instantly thought I needed at least a week vacation to read no not just read devour this master piece. But there's just a lot yet undone and clients to satisfy, so no vacation for me at least for now. I concluded I'd spend the nights reading which should even help me pay more attention. I was surprised when I noticed I hadn't even opened past the first three ad campaign pages of the magazine, I felt unhappy. I needed my time, no special time was going be enough so somehow I needed to get to it..and come the following week- which makes a week and five days later after staring at it everyday on the table beside my bed I patiently indulged in this all time master piece. And one page at a time I journeyed through....

Peju Famojure Styles the Best of Fall Collections for L’Officiel Paris August 2012
Talented, international Nigerian stylist Peju Famojure styled this fashion editorial which is one of my favorite at the moment. In this feature, models Milana Keller, Svetlana Kudina, and Veneda are the picture of autumn elegance in selects from the collections of Bottega Veneta, Chanel, Jil Sander, Versace, Givenchy, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton and Prada.
Lensed by Jonathan Segade and styled by Peju Famojure for L'Officiel Paris, this editorial features luxurious patterns, textures and rich dark hues from the fall collections.

Versailles Rhapsody
There are numerous things that impress me about Chanel and of course the great designer Karl Lagerfeld, first is how incredibly they transform a mere space into a dream.
I mean…who does that?
Often, I wonder what it’s actually like to get into a Chanel show because frankly I can spend every day attending one – well, after doing all officially required work. Focusing on the present, the recently unveiled 2012/13 Resort collection showcased at Versailles, France is still giving me goosebumps and I cannot –yet – pinpoint what exactly is giving me the spark or making me go wow! Wow! Wow! at each piece.
I’m watching the show right now and I can say particularly that for each piece there’s a story – a definite one at that. However few things come out fabulous like the shiny, double/ triple soled espadrille-looking creepers AND the-girl-in-the-dragon-tattoo- style hair cut ) all these combine everything perfectly thereby giving them that charming look of class. You know the class that says “Yes, I am a lady, a beautiful woman with class and while I like to look sexily attractive I also want to be very comfortable and stylish”.
Pieces from the collection include; jackets which are a constant Chanel item, skirts, cute doll dresses, wrap gowns, overly big pants(what they call them again?), sweaters, circle skirts, leather pants, coats etc all made from a wide range of materials; wool, tweed, linen, satin, lace embroidery, and lots of other accessories.
The styling as usual is simple perfection with essential details like pearls, studs, silver statement neckpieces, belts, bracelets, chain bags and clutches, brooches and neck chokers which sealed each look to perfection.
Oh how I love!
From swim suits, lovely evening and tea dresses to casual hang-out-with-the-friends and errand day looks this collection is nothing short of amazing.
For me, I say this collection is A-amazing.
I’ve always known that there are three things that sets an event on a top scale; the Venue which is best defined by an unusual décor, the Guests in attendance and the DJ! Yes, I had to scream that, the wrong DJ will definitely ruin a perfectly planned show or event.
Well, Chanel and Karl never disappoint with all that – always on point!
The whole idea at the show I guess is to give guests that old Parisian feel say a modern Maria Antoinette of class which is gradually returning into the industry and personal wardrobes; and when Chanel does it everybody accepts it.
It doesn’t come as a surprise anymore as Karl has remained one of the most respected and innovative creative personality in the fashion industry worldwide, people look up to him and I say he is my fashion animal.
Well then, to a lovely new Chanel collection and more to come I say … Love, Kisses and Chanel!

Bags I Loved At The ARISE Fashion Week
Every lady loves her hanfbag as much her clothes, and according to legendary fashion icon Coco Chanel,"A lady's should be two things classy and fabulous and in other to be irreplaceable or perhaps stand out you have to look different. For me there's just one thing that defines true measure of class and sophistication to me - your handbag.
Your handbag is who and what you are, so what do you carry?
From the just completed ARISE Magazine fashion week where one and all seemed present and fashion questions tool tolls I found handbags that definitely take the A for me, in my opinion these ladies and the gentleman know their style.
