'MUSE' by Lakin Ogunbanwo Opens Tonight

Nigerian born multitalented artist and photographer, Lakin Ogunbanwo will open his latest collection of works titled ‘MUSE’ on the Thursday, 5^th Demember 2013. ‘MUSE’ – a 35-piece exhibition of portraits gives an insight into the mind of the artist - Lakin Ogunbanwo, and his visual interpretations, exhibition of his subjects; juxtaposition between highly stylized imagery and a subtle raw, moody imagery. This is about capturing beauty, or one’s idea of it.

Sideview, editorial fashion and lifestyle magazine is turning five and they have come up with fantastic ideas. The magazine will be celebrating the big year with advertisers and fans of the magazine with a series of events held on three continents.

Rihanna x MAC Cosmetics: Creates Four Cosmetic Collections!

Rihanna is collaborating with MAC Cosmetics to create few products exclusively for MAC...Rihanna will be creating four cosmetic collections due to launch this year. May 4 sees the release of a lipstick RiRi Woo inspired by a current shade of MAC red, due to coincide with Rihanna's concerts at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn where MAC will open a pop-up shop. The summer collection contains two more lipsticks, a powder blush duo and a bronzer in shade Lustre Drops. Autumn/winter's product releases include four lipsticks, a lip gloss version of RiRi Woo, two eye shadow palettes as well as false lashes, and a nail polish, make-up bag and lipsticks in the last on-counter collection. This partnership marks the first time MAC Cosmetics has collaborated with a celebrity for more than a one-off project and Rihanna's signature and name will feature on the product packaging.

Bentley Launches New Fragrances

March 2013 sees the launch of two men's fragrances from Bentley, created by French perfumer Nathalie Lorson. Bentley For Men (£59.50 for the 100ml EDT) is inspired by wood and leather, incorporating top notes of black pepper, bay leaves and bergamot, with heart notes of rum, cinnamon, and clary sage, and base notes of cedarwood, patchouli, musk and benzoin siam. Intense For Men (£69.50 for 100ml) features a base of cedarwood, patchouli and sandalwood, heart notes of clary sage, labdanum resin and leather, and is finished with top notes of black pepper, incense and African geranium. The Bentley For Men range also includes a hair and body shower gel and an after-shave balm. In addition, Bentley has collaborated with Lalique to create a limited edition crystal flacon for the fragrance, priced at £3k.

Clinique-al Experience

I attended the official opening of Clinique in Nigeria today. While the launch which was held at the Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel in Victoria Island, didn't quite have enough media representatives in attendance - compared to the MAC which launched same day, same venue - the brand packaging was quite brilliant, not often seen her.

Well, all good and perfect it's definitely great to have e an international skin brand as this officially be in Nigeria. Can't wait to participate in their upcoming activities and most assuredly start my trial period with all the lovely products I received.

Musing: Things I've Learnt

Below is a short list of the things I learnt within the first half of this year....

Not to think too much, that things will always work out somehow- I just have to make sure it turns out right.

That people will always be people; you can never change him/her in a today or completely even in years.

There are few things that really give utmost joy - search for yours and hold on to it/them.

True, sincere love is rear - very!

After all and all, you'll still need to turn to your closest/personal family. However they may be.

Passion is different from desire so is drive from ambition.

Beauty isn't really in the eyes of the beholder.

A good/bad 'not working' system depends mostly on your attitude.

We can't finish it all today!
