Sometimes ago while thinking about, Ludacris' song - 'How low can you go?' a thought flashed through my mind, and I was like okay, 'how high can you go - fly, jump, aspire in life?'
As often said, attitude determines altitude. How good or bad your attitude determines how far - good/bad you'll go in life... First all, what's your attitude?
After careful thinking, I came up with few deductions...

Your First 60 Seconds With A Woman - David DeAngelo
I want to talk about one of the most critical times when meeting a woman... it's the
first 60 seconds.
Besides the obvious point that you want to make the right first impression, there are a few things that happen (or don't happen) which most guys either overlook or never realize.
If you understand the dynamics of the first 60 seconds or meeting a new women, it will
REALLY help you take the relationship to the next level.
Probably the most important thing to realize is that even though the first 60 seconds may sometimes seem awkward, YOU MUST KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING!
Here's why: Whenever you meet someone new, they were thinking about or doing something else before you started talking to them.
When you start the new conversation, it often takes a little while for the woman that you've just met to relax and start opening up.
She has to "shift gears", so to speak.
Most guys make the mistake of thinking that a woman isn't interested if she doesn't start smiling and laughing immediately. They give up if a woman looks even a little bit shy or uncomfortable.
DON'T DO THAT!
Stick with it. Keep talking. If you've read my other newsletters and my book "Double Your
Dating" you know that I love to use sarcastic, Cocky & Funny humor.
More to read!

A Phone Conversation
Yesterday, a colleague of mine raised an issue which I found quite interesting. She said and I quote, "I don't think any lady in this age should by her own phone - what ever type it is, BlackBerry, iPhone, Android, etc She should get any phone she desires as a gift...yes she should".
Hearing this I was 1. Stunned (haven't figured out why exactly) 2. Bothered - I wanted to know why she thought and said, it definitely couldn't have been a random idea that just clicked somewhere in her head. She sounded convinced of it, because when I asked why she believed so she steered back at me in amazement like I was from a totally different specie of the woman-hood. She looked surprised as to why I ask that and more awed when I told her I bought the phone (iPhone) I'm using at the moment for myself because it is essential for my career.... My point I explained to her; I needed the phone, I ordered for it, got it and there, it's mine. So why do I need a man(her opinion of the giver) to buy me a phone.
Well, her rule is that a woman should have enough men (boyfriends, lovers,) in her life , enough to get her different 'toys' anytime she wants one but yes, she has to ask them all to have lots of options..just so many offers come by.
My points are:
- I get it, we all love gifts but how's it a gift when you have to ask different guys and most likely stalk them even though some might request something in between or after?
- Where then is the boundary between decency, prostitution and hawking? Because frankly 70% of these men request something in return even before they give that which requested.
- Also, do women (these days) believe they need to be bought everything?
- Is getting all they (women) need a reason to get married these days...especially when they end up divorced after a very short time together?
These are just few of my questions...*still wondering*

Family Ties - Yeni Kuti
Daughter of late Afro beat legend (Fela Anikulapo-Kuti), YENI KUTI shares her childhood dreams, successes, challenges and more with me for the 'Memoir' section of MANIA Magazine Januray edition.
Excerpt:
I’m excited to be fifty, when I was younger and
I saw people who turned fifty, I used to think they were very old. But now,
that I’m also there, I feel older but not very old. Dancing is my passion. I
just love to dance. So whenever there’s music, I just translate the songs into
dance and I enjoy it.

Ema's Words on Marriage
My friend and once colleague posted this on her Facebook wall and I thought to share...Please read and share your thoughts.
Cheers!
"What I'm inclined to believe today is a lot of women don't want a husband, they just want sex and money. Many of women do not want to minister to or support a man. They don't want to support a vision. The microwave generation does not want to work for or work out anything. What some women don't realise is when you marry a man, you marry the future, you marry an assignment. You marry a potential, you marry capability. When God puts a man in your hands, He tells you to grow it, to develop it, to mature it, work it out, build it. If you don't have building power, stay single. If you want to get married, you have to allow God to teach you how to be a wife. I know there are difficulties in marriage and I know not all marriages are bound to succeed. Men have issues also, but we have a part to play, so when issues arise with your partner, you must alway weigh wisdom and the Provers 31 woman against anger and pride". Emamode Edosio

Designer Crush Alert - Peter Dundas
"Please can I have lunch or perhaps dinner with you?" That'll be my question to Peter Dundas when I finally meet him.
Photo via TinaLovoes
Few times I've seen his picture, read his interviews in magazines and on the web but haven't didn't quite realise how fond I am of his face....It's like that thing/person you like but can't quite place what or why about him/it gives the feeling, such is Peter Dundas.
Introductions first, right?

Musing ... On Radisson Blu and BRT Bus
The thing with Lagos and appointments is that anyone barely meets up with scheduled time, even those ones that often talk on Twitter about their disgust for latecomers. But frankly, they are guilty too - one time or the other.

Musing - On Movies and Inspirations.
It's very true that what one person gains from a movie is not always exactly same as what the other gains from same movie...this I believe as agreed by few others is due to the fact that we are different, our thoughts, our sense of reasoning and articulation is totally based on several reasons such as; background, present status and opinion of life.
But my question is why does the knowledge from one movie help another than the other?
Why does that smart person often end seeming foolish and the foolish being 'brilliant' or 'favoured' ?
I love movies- watching them and sometimes discussing them but the problem is I don't often share same opinion or say observations with other viewers, why is that I ask?
Another disturbing question is why do movies affect us psychologically or not?
Even those that think they aren't influenced by it fall victim of the likeness they share for their favourite movie, action, romantic, drama, thriller or whatever it may be... Just questions.
What are your thoughts?

Fear of the Unknown
I've always believed there's only one way to get through a sad, depressed, 'un-giving' life,
----- Hope.
The tease/believe/faith to hold on to the best or 'okay' that's yet to come.
But how long do you have to wait for the best or the very best as I like to put it.
How long do you have to wait for that one thing or one person that's gonna bring that change.
How long is it gonna be before each smile on that face gonna be a truly genuine one?
How long before the thoughts of being wrong Bd waiting to give up be?
Perhaps I think, when that one person or situation falls in place or dies.
Then hope itself is lost.
How long before the long desired dreams become visible?
Well, I can go on rambling on these thoughts or I could just give up on them or less hold on even more to them.
Yet, I persist either way.

Musing: The Thing About Martin, Martini & Me.
"Be sober, be very sober, if only for a few days" I repeated these words to myself continuously for two days over the last two weeks - but no, I couldn't sustain the indulgence of abstaining from a cup of Martini - ( yes I meant Martini up there not Martin...lol)
The relationship we both share started a long while back when i couldn't bare sticking with the other guys- Vodka, Henessey, etc I broke free from them I made a final decision to be with my only true love- Martini. I love Martin (the bartender who gave me my first glass of Martini at Flamingo;a couple of years back) but hey now I love Martini than him who hooked us up.
I must admit however that Martini didn't just hook us up, he revealed what we both have in common; a gentle spirit that ignites passion as well inspires creativity- I remember days I couldn't really get much done without a cup of Martini...oh how we adored each other. Martin also revealed that Martini and I also share a freshness that's crispy and sweet; if it's reddish, smooth and sexy, It's us both.
On those days when all I really want to do is relax even while working but I can't Martini fits right into the situation relieving of that languid feeling- now, that's a relationship to cherish.
In summary, I'll say a big thanks to Martin, my favourite mixologist, as he prefers- who hooked Martini and up and also taught me the numerous Martini cocktails. And to be BFF, Martini I say, may this amore continue.
