Glam Chic! Lanvin S/S '13 Campaign

For its Spring/Summer 2013 campaign, Alber Elbaz decided not to use well known faces, rather he included few newbies.young, up and coming models like  Christian Garcia, Michael Lange and Kristoffer Hasslevall.
Photographed by Steven Meisel still, the campaign also features top models like Karlie Kloss, Daria Strokous, and Saskia de Brauw, I enjoy the glam calmness(which is just the signature style of Lanvin)  portrayed through the entire campaign.

Dynamically Designed Delight : Vlisco Celebrates New Collection With 'Parade of Charm' Campaign

For a while now, Vlisco has been one of few things, brands that's been adding good value to me. Specifically three months going now, Vlisco has been revealing some remarkably chizzy campaigns that deserve big applause.
First, I said it's got to be the stylist, or the creative director or perhaps the brand manager but hey a successful project/brand means a fantastic team - so, to the wonderful team at Vlisco I say, "Great job, please keep it up"!
Frankly, I'd like to say, Vlisco campaigns are fan-ta-bu-lous!!!
Review follows after the break.

Natalia X Stella McCartney

One of my favouriet model and my favourite designer..woot!
Stella McCartney's fall 2012 ads have an appropriately sporty feel, given that she designed the London Olympic British team uniforms. Model Natalia Vodianova, who has been featured in McCartney's past three campaigns, is seen in active poses like kicking or stretching her arm. The wares, which were shot in London by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, feel mod with a bold-color, black, and white palette.

Vlisco Presents the Funky Grooves Collection

The Funky Grooves collection draws from Vlisco’s proud history, inspired by global urban culture and couture craftsmanship. It’s a collection of contrasts, with edgy street wear influences reinterpreted through a lens of pure glamour. The new collection is a melting pot of ideas, using new colours to update Vlisco’s heritage designs, and classic Vlisco techniques to create new looks.
Raw, geometric lines, traditional wrap shapes, bold metallic studs and edgy industrial hues come together to create a modern vibe. The collection’s colours range from earthy browns, brassy golds and bronzes, to brick reds and shocking pinks, and fresh acid blues and greens. It all comes together in the Funky Grooves collection, for a look that is bold, punky and original, yet feminine and effortlessly easy to wear.
The new Funky Grooves fabrics will also form part of a fashion & accessories collection, which will be available at selected Vlisco boutiques from August 2012.

Luxury Untamed

Adirée Launches Photo Campaign for Africa Fashion Week New York 2012: Luxury Untamed Adirée, the parent company and producer of Africa Fashion Week New York (AFWNY) launches a photo campaign themed “Luxury Untamed”. AFWNY, a luxury multi-day event produced by Adirée, will take place at the Broad Street Ballroom on July 12th, 13th, 14th in New York City’s financial District. The campaign, photographed by Avaloni Studios, reflects the unpolished side of high-end lifestyle. That is, the man or woman who is all about the luxury lifestyle who has a wild and contradictory “unsophisticated side to them as well”, regardless of how “how class” one can be perceived to be. Those statement-making photos simultaneously represent the free spirits of the emerging African designers—their talent and unique fashionable aesthetics which cannot be tamed by social constraints.
The rapidly growing African Fashion industry now starts to catch the world’s attention and corrects the stereotypes that the African designs are mainly tribal. Key topics to be discussed at the 12th annual International Herald Tribune’s luxury conference, the premier annual forum for business and creative leaders from across the global luxury goods industry, include the potential of Africa-both as a producer and ultimately consumer of luxury goods. At the heels of this prestigious conference, the AFWNY 2012 campaign luxury untamed speaks to the raw and beautiful fashions that come from African designers. “The photo shoot represents designers showcasing in Africa Fashion Week in New York, and our mission to define some of Africa’s Fashion as synonymous with the word Luxury and as competitive in the luxury markets as European brands have been. Again we are [Adiree] are constantly redefining the perceptions of fashion coming from the continent or being made in Africa.”—Adiat Disu
AFWNY includes runway shows hosting 21+ designers from various countries in Africa and those of the African Diaspora, exhibitions, and industry networking events. Opening designers Francis Hendy, Korto Momolu, and designers like Mafi, Attolle Collection, Geraldo Fashions and others will showcase. For more information about AFWNY, visit: www.afwny.com

Beware, Here Comes The Surrealist.

Valentino Ad Campaign featuring Sicilian Palazzo Valguarnera-Gangi in Palermo
(Giorgio Armani ad campaign) --- While there are quite a number of Resort ad campaigns these below are my favourite picks and yes they have something in common; red, fear, danger! Edgy, gawky and exactitude are few words that explain these creative ideas of perfection.

I respect, no love Tom Ford.

He just doesn't keep putting smiles on faces, his new Ad campaign for beauty features a skin-bearing-shower-scene.

Now how thrilling is that?
