Vlisco Announces Women's Month Celebrations & Fashion Dream Fund Competition!

Vlisco has announced the month of March as Vlisco Women's Month, which is a tribute to the women of Africa especially in Western and Central Africa.

The plan is simple and straightforward;

Vlisco's plan to reward inspirational women in the fashion, style, textile and lifestyle industry will see 5 selected nominees awarded the Vlisco Women's Month BE YOUR DREAM award. The winner which will be elected by the Nigerian public will be revealed during a festive award night & fashion show on the Thursday 28th March 2014 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. While the selected nominees get to win the award Voters also get to win tickets to the award night & fashion show and a tailor made dress of their choice, made with the latest Super-wax fabric.

Fashion Dream Fund: This is also a part of the Women's Month Celebrations project. This platform is to empower women to unleash their potential. Imaginative female creative fashion professionals (tailors, designers, stylists) can send in their business plans for the VLISCO FASHION DREAM FUND, and stand to win funding to realize their business dreams. Winners will be selected by a Vlisco jury and three winners throughout West and Central Africa will respectively win $10, 000, $7, 000 or $5, 000 US Dollars and Vlisco will support them with business advice to ensure that they succeed.

Perfect Patterns + Lavishing Layers = Vlisco 'Jeu de Couleurs' Campaign

Honestly, I don’t think I keep up with my personal life as much as I keep up with Vlisco’s always charming campaigns – I mean, why would I have the website bookmarked and also make it on the list of my must check websites in a week?

As in, why not? I love the brand!

Vlisco is an amazing brand that I’m almost sure is occupied with equally brilliant people as the designs created. Yet another stunning campaign – ‘Jeu de Couleurs’ (which I discovered means 'Colours Game') of photos I already in the folder of my laptop’s ‘Screen Saver’, I love the concept, the design and the way maximum control put into the ambiance set for the story. Seriously, nothing like this comes from simple minds, they have a great team – one I wish I could be a part of considering my dear love for fashion and especially campaigns.
