One to Watch: Hesey Designs

Starting off on the runway, Hesey Designs is an emerging fashion brand that blends exotic creative designs with African prints to produce unique products.  

One to Watch - TAP Designs Fashion Label

I love discovering new brands, creative types especially. Lately, I found out about this lovely fashion brand called TAPdesigns and I'd love to say this is a brilliant label.

TAPdesigns is a contemporary ready to wear brand founded by Adeosun Toluwalase, Thorpe Weyinmi and Patrick Ifie. Based in Lagos, it's obvious how the Nigeria and African heritage is evident in each one of their collections. Tap designs pieces are made in Nigeria and they are very serious about making an impact in the Nigerian fashion industry. Looking through the latest collection - Belle Dame which means "beautiful woman" in French, I discovered that while there's still a lot of room for improvement they do have that sheer understanding of their aesthetics...
