Kate Winslet Covers November US Vogue in Duro Olowu Metallic Cape

First, I have to point out the 'fakeness' (like fashion non-enthusiasts say) of this cover; I mean, common! This is no good to the beautiful Kate. She's one of the few Hollywood women I adore when it comes to beauty and keeping it real. 

Well, fashion especially Vogue fashion is about portraying the best - what should be and not exactly the way it is.

Therefore away from that, the cover is .... beautiful! Beautiful is the word I use for extraordinary, different, more than pretty or sweet. It's more for things that appear simple, natural and refreshing. This cover is all of these and many more.

Photographed by (who else?) Mario Testino, pregnant Kate wears a Donna Karan black jersey dress that accentuated her curves perfectly and seals the look with a Duro Olowu shimmering violet metallic silk-jackard cape with free flowing locks and rose coloured lips...bam!

Two Times Coming: Rooney Mara x US Vogue February 2013

I love the playful feel of this cover, considering it's even Rooney Mara- you know, the 'weird looking' Rooney, I think it's cool. Photographed by David Sims, the cover features Rooney in a vintage red Calvin Klein piece that seals that deal of new year style that's still simple, smooth, sexy -(see lace) and romantic (Valentine's).

Knowing for a fact that US Vogue never puts someone on the cover for no just reason I decided to do a little research on how she gained a second cover and discovered that her latest movie, Side Effects will be in cinemas soon. In the movie, also featuring Chaning Tatum, Jude Law amongst others,  Rooney Mara plays a woman who “turns to prescription medication as a way of handling her anxiety concerning her husband’s upcoming release from prison.”

Sex & Sensibility

I love the power of RED. It’s strong, daring, sexy, adventurous, bold and everything in between.  Been seeing peaks of this cover on line but not until a friend share it did I realize how exotic it is…it is irresistible!

The cover personality of course is Jessica Chastain, wearing just a lovely red hat and a scarlet asymmetrical dress from Gucci’s Spring collection. Shot by Bruce Weber, the actress looks was purely heightened here somehow, or that’s what I sense after all it’s Sense and Sensibility; the fact she’s red head with that shimmering, glowing skin compliments the whole sex approach.
