#LFW: ETRO
FOUNDED in 1968 by Gerolamo, Etro is a family
business that now has his three children at the helm: his daughter Veronica on
womenswear; and two sons, Kean and Jacopo, on menswear and homewear
respectively.
It's a business that knows its USP and
sticks to it - beautiful prints with paisley a signature, long silk dresses
with a grown-up hippy vibe and softly tailored coats and jackets to match.
This collection for Etro is obviously about
cuts, shapes and flows… A beautiful collection as this made from 2/3 fabrics is
always a go for me, it is brilliant and every woman – bold, calm, reserved, surreal,
loud, edgy, feminine, masculine, etc

Truly, TOM FORD is my Daddy
Matter of fact is, Tom Ford is officially my 'Daddy'.
Yes, just the way it sounds, He is my Daddy - the man that provides my need even at this young fashion age of mine. I'm proud to be his daughter and I'm sure he is too.
Almost unlike him but very close home to him... It's known far and near that Tom Ford is all about surprises, that which makes you go : "uhhhh duhh, what's this?" After which you go: "wow, it's amazingly sexy though, in a cool way."
Tom Ford's collection at the London Fashion Week Fall Ready-to-Wear show is one that makes a man wonder how a woman can turn out looking so freaking sexy just in anything like that. No debate, Tom Ford is the master of fierce sexiness; the mixture of sheer with print and floral in this collection is just so amazing. Fashion weeks can sometimes be boring especially when several designers repeat trends with no signature mark.

This is a collection is full of pieces any cool lady can just throw on and just rush out of the house looking 'improper' but stylish. I mean the impression being passed is pretty simple, it goes; "well, I just kinda throw all this on and ran down here" get it? The idea is almost surreal...

Dating Game - Duro Olowu, London Fashion Week 2013
This is not one of those situations where I say something good because it sounds good. No,not at all... It is for a fact one of those moments where you see something you've always imagined in your head but haven't had the chance or clear understanding of how to put it down in words - well, maybe the exact words have been traded for something else; distractions of course.
He needs no introduction as he remains a regular on here. I'm always talking/sharing about him one point or the other - his collaborations his fun and creative lookbooks and lots more.
Duro Olowu is amazing and he represents his unique style very well in every collection he creates. He says fun, girly, sexy as well as grown, decisive and confident all at once. He knows how to properly illustrates his designs while leaving little or nothing out. I mean, his use of prints is fantastic and the way he pairs prints and patterns up is tot-amazing.
