Peju Famojure Styles the Best of Fall Collections for L’Officiel Paris August 2012

Talented, international Nigerian stylist Peju Famojure styled this fashion editorial which is one of my favorite at the moment. In this feature, models Milana Keller, Svetlana Kudina, and Veneda are the picture of autumn elegance in selects from the collections of Bottega Veneta, Chanel, Jil Sander, Versace, Givenchy, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton and Prada. Lensed by Jonathan Segade and styled by Peju Famojure for L'Officiel Paris, this editorial features luxurious patterns, textures and rich dark hues from the fall collections.

YSL Cigarettes ... Seriously?

YSL Cigarettes? Yes YSL has cigarettes now and yes for sale.

Apparently, many fashion houses license their names for cigarettes, much like they might for shoes, handbags, or the aforementioned perfume. Givenchy, Versace, Pierre Cardin, Christian Lacroix and Cartier have also been in the tobacco game at one point or another, via lending their brand caché and logo for the cause (for cash, of course), not by, you know, starting a tobacco farm or something.

The packaging is beautiful and classy though so I just have to give it to YSL, well done. As Keiri Perri of stylecaster.com puts it, "That black and gold, it's like the Opium bottle in cancer-causing form". I totally agree.

These "luxe" versions of cigarettes are mainly available in Asia and Russia and as expected, they're marketed primarily at women.
