Hugh Masekela, Morrie Louden, Bez, Tiwa Savage & Efya Set to Perform at the 2nd Annual Lagos Jazz Series

As the Lagos Jazz Series prepares to light up Lagos, Jazz music is all pined up to take centre stage on the Nigerian entertainment scene.

The first Lagos Jazz Series featured artistes with deep jazz roots. The 2011 edition will feature a more diverse mix of artistes including international and local mainstream jazz and jazz influenced artistes, a mix which will explore the range of jazz ever more thoroughly as the series progresses and metamorphoses into the Lagos jazz festival.

The Lagos Jazz Series (LJS) has been set in motion as the organizers of the outdoor festival have confirmed the presence of internationally acclaimed jazz figures like Hugh Masekela, Vladyslav Sendecki, and Morrie Louden to entertain lovers of Jazz music. To ensure a noteworthy show, organizers of the event have gone the extra mile to garner the best West African classical acts. The repertoire of artistes set to do justice to Jazz music include Cobhams Asuquo, Efya Somi, Tiwa Savage, Bez, Keziah Jones, Sesu, Diana Bada and a host of other surprise artistes.
