Moet & Chandon Presents 'A Toast to Chinua Achebe'


In recognition of his sterling contribution to the development of African literature especially the genre of prose, the late Prof Chinua Achebe will be honoured post-humously in Lagos.

The event titled 'A Toast to an Extraordinary Life - Chinua Achebe' will gather different literary icons, distinguished personalities from the academia, private sector and other works of life. It promises to be an evening of readings, reminiscenciess, tributes, music and non-stop champagne.

The event is proudly sponsored by luxury champagne brand, Moet & Chandon.

14TH LAGOS BOOK & ART FESTIVAL – LABAF 2012




Details: A platform to discuss relevant literature including literary legend and national hero including Chinua Achebe’s latest work ‘There was a Country’. Seminar on the Life and Art of the great Bruce Onobrakpeya and a Stampede featuring the likes of musician Dede Mabiaku and intellectual Sola Olorunyomi on the topic ‘The music in the book, the book in the music’ and referencing works like “Catch a Fire: The Life of Bob Marley by Timothy White”
