Congratulation to Belgian designer Christian Wijnants who was recently announced winner of the 2013 International Woolmark Prize.
His capsule Merino wool collection was inspired by a single white yarn, exploring its full potential; one type of yarn in 100 percent Merino wool was used to create the seamless garments. A panel of judges including Victoria Beckham, Donatella Versace, Diane von Furstenberg, Franca Sozzani and Tim Blanks, selected Christian from runners up Pankaj & Nidhi (India), Dion Lee (Australia), Sophie Theallet (USA) and Ban Xiao Xue (China). He receives a monetary prize of $100k as well as the opportunity to have the winning collection sold in top boutiques worldwide including Bergdorf Goodman, Harvey Nichols, 10 Corso Como, Joyce and Eickhoff...yay superb!!
Didn't know much about International Woolmark Prize till I visited the website - HERE then I was wow!
