WAREBI MARTHA and JOSEPH BENJAMIN Cover BLOKE Magazine

BLOKE, the beautiful all gloss magazine which debuted in October 2011 with a racy picture of a shirtless Bryan Okwara on its cover, is out with a follow-up issue in time for the valentine season. The impressive 108 page magazine with the tagline ‘The complete man manual for the woman that loves him’, comes in an eye catching pink cover; one of the best magazine covers we have seen in a long time!

According to the magazine’s editor Omena Daniels, “Bloke is poised to deliver a product that its target audience, women between 21 and 40, will call their own”. He continues “rich in masculine tenor and laced with an unmistakable feminine appeal, BLOKE’s language is witty and humorous and takes the reader on a backstage tour of what happens in their man’s mind. Of course we give you a healthy dose of lifestyle and fashion as we weave through the intimate world of relationship and sex”.

This issue is spiced with juicy relationship and sex articles to keep ladies curled up and glued for days.
The features include: ‘Finding Mr. Right’, ‘So you think you are the one?’ and ‘How to get you ex back’ is already garnering a lot of attention. Not forgetting the sensational read that is ‘Most outstanding Nigerians of 2011’.

This issue is also loaded with a lot of ‘Star Power’. Apart from Joseph and Warebi on the cover, rap star Eva, DJ extraordinaire dj Sose, soul sensation Ibiyemi, Andre Blaze, Moet, Uche the gifted sexy on -Air-personality of city fm and others make appearances on the inside.

“Our fashion pages are "Awesome", colorful and so on point; giving you the very best of this season's trends and style tips to keep you looking and feeling extra glamorous all year long , and that’s because we want to make each edition a keepsake.

Like we always say, ‘ladies if you won't share your man, don’t share your Bloke’’

WANA SAMBO Pre-A/W 2012 Collection: ‘I AM WOMAN’

Applying the Bianca Jagger life story to the modern day Nigerian woman and what she can become allowed the designer to name each outfit in these collection according to some of the states and local government areas in Nigeria, thus emphasizing the nearness of each piece to home.
alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5709421654825293282" />

The designer further shares ; “When I was thinking of the ‘I AM WOMAN’ Collection I thought: ‘”sorority girl meets women’s prison, Grunge Chic, Metals and Wires, Power, Life Struggles, etc etc” in the light of these, one woman to my mind: BIANCA JAGGER.
Bianca Jagger of the 70’s inspired this collection. Her passion for expressing herself through her style, power dressing, jet set lifestyle and marriage to rolling stones lead singer, Mick Jagger made her a force to reckon with. She was truly a ‘wild’ one who ran Studio54 and dared to do anything within and outside the realm of conventional. This is a woman who arrived at a nightclub on a white horse just because it was her birthday. LOL . . . Today, she has blossomed into a great woman with several awards sitting on her shelf, mostly for her humanitarian deeds and exceptional works on defending the rights of women,
I believe women should be able to take a stand, make mistakes and eventually learn that it is okay to be you and know it will only turn out right. Most people are only concerned with what the society deems ‘right and acceptable’ and as such never really appreciate or know their true selves until the day they die… I think it is really sad, and because I have and will continue to do me, I dare say; I AM WOMAN.

My Ultimate Valentine’s Day Wishlist

Chocolates, wines, fragrances and cars are good but to be sincere, when it’s Valentine’s a lady needs more than the little things.

Not to beat around the bush or sound too outlandish any lady will gladly appreciate a gift she never imagined.

Certainly it's the thought that counts, but when it comes to the luxury goodies I’d love, I can't quite think of a better way to celebrate Cupid's second coming than with a gift that demonstrates more than just a pretty face or kiss. Don’t get me wrong, I love kisses. I love real kiss but sometimes more’s just needed. Therefore I out of hope will like to share my Valentine’s Day wishlist.

Mind you it’s unusual; I mean not the light minded or broke!

Yes, my Valentine's Day wishlist isn't for those on a budget -- it's for those like me who are secretly romantics and want to get wowed with an over-the-top gesture that will cause my friends to "ooh" and "ahh" in envy. So if you happen to be MY special someone and you're reading this, please take note: while i don't expect you to gift me with every item on this list, feel free to peruse it if you're wondering what I've been secretly coveting from afar.

(Oh, and if you're just a friend, fan or otherwise, take a moment to fantasize too. After all, not every love affair begins with a kiss or a stolen glance across a crowded room...)

Please see list below…
